GPs rumoured to get only $2 from co-payment plan

A media report is suggesting GPs will see little more than a $2 increase to bulk-billed consultations with the introduction of the Federal Government's controversial co-payment plan.

The suggestion now being flagged is that a $7 co-payment will be introduced alongside a $5 cut in a standard attendance item, according to a Sydney Morning Herald report.

The move will save the government an estimated $700 million a year but
