GPs snubbed again in latest Better Access move

The AMA said the highly conditional about-face, announced this afternoon, showed the government knew its move to slash Better Access rebates from last November was already affecting patients.

“The government’s recognised that patients are hurting but it’s failed to address the fact that the budget cuts to GPs are [also] having a detrimental impact on patients,” AMA president Dr Steve Hambleton told MO.
