GPs remain unclear about their obligations to report colleagues to the medical regulator half a decade after mandatory reporting was introduced, medico-legal experts say.

Aware that they must report their colleagues for notifiable conduct — intoxication, breach of sexual boundaries, an impairment and a departure from standards — many remain unclear about thresholds for the seriousness of behaviour, according to medico-legal indemnifier Avant.
