GPs still waiting for 400 hospital letters
A hospital is apparently blaming budget cuts for a backlog of 400 GP letters containing patients' test results.
The issue surfaced when a recently diagnosed breast cancer patient had tests completed at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth and was informed she would need a mastectomy.
She alerted local MP Rob Johnson, saying she was alarmed because her GP had heard nothing of the test results.
Mr Johnson claimed the hospital told the patient the
