GSK recalls Infanrix Hexa vax
12th October 2012
Six batches of Infanrix Hexa have been recalled by GlaxoSmithKline Australia, due to potential contamination during the manufacturing process.

The recall is a precautionary measure, and there is no apparent health risk to children who have already received the vaccine.
“This precautionary recall is being taken because a surface in the area where one of the manufacturing steps for the vaccine takes place was found to have a small amount of contamination with the bacterium Bacillus cereus, an organism commonly found in food and soil,”
