Guild lobbies for improved emergency supply

The Pharmacy Guild will push for improved provisions for emergency supply of medicines after disasters, in the wake of Australia’s unprecedented bushfires.


The Guild plans to lobby for:

  1. An expansion of Emergency Supply provisions in all states and territories to enable urgent supply of the smallest available manufacturer pack in the absence of a prescription.
  2. An expansion of Continued Dispensing by the Commonwealth to allow urgent supply of all pharmaceutical benefits for long-term health conditions, including extraordinary provisions to
