Healthcare employment numbers on the increase

Recently released data shows the number of Australians working in health care now account for 11.6% of employment, an increase of 1.1% since the 2006 census.

Census executive director Andrew Henderson said there had been a shift from retail trade and manufacturing to health care and social assistance.
