Hidden data questions Tamiflu’s efficacy

The antiviral drug oseltamivir is not all it’s cracked up to be with new evidence showing it does not reduce serious influenza complications nor is it much good in preventing the spread of disease.

The findings raise critical questions around the future of government stockpiling of such drugs for use in a pandemic.
At best, oseltamivir, better known as Tamiflu, alleviates flu-like symptoms by only as much as half a day compared to a placebo, according to an updated Cochrane
