High-dose vit C linked to kidney stones

Concern has been raised over the safety of high-dose vitamin C, with a large Swedish study linking the popular supplement to kidney stones.

The risk of kidney stones was doubled in men taking high-dose ascorbic acid compared with those not taking any supplements, the 12-year cohort study of 49,000 men found.
