A well-known GP and philanthropist has been cautioned after writing scripts to stock a pharmacist-run ‘rehydration clinic’ for HIV patients.

Dr Dick Quan co-founded Holdsworth House, which specialises in treating patients with HIV and hepatitis, in 1992.
Well known in Sydney for supporting marginalised patients, he was accused of professional misconduct after writing scripts to stock a rehydration clinic co-located at Holdsworth House in January 2016.
The scripts covered 84 vials of so-called ‘Myers’ cocktails’ ─ a combination of magnesium, calcium and vitamins
