HIV experts slam unethical clinical trials

People with HIV are being enrolled in unethical clinical trials which often serve big pharma’s interests more than their own, Australian experts claim. 

In a strongly worded critique, leading HIV specialists have taken aim at trials of antiretroviral therapy (ART), saying they are often based on “tenuous” science and offer little patient benefit.

They say the problem stems from the huge improvements in the efficacy of ART over the past 15 years, which has made it increasingly difficult
