Holistic GP lost her way: tribunal

A “holistic” GP who ignored a radiologist’s report suggesting a patient with suspected breast cancer should be referred for mammography, had “lost the discipline and skill required to be a general practitioner”, a tribunal has found. 

Dr Carolyn Cooke lectured at Macquarie University’s shool of chiropractic and had described herself as following the principles of conventional medicine with “assistance of tools from complementary medicine” to make a medical diagnosis.
