Hospital birth ‘no safer’ than homebirth

Planned hospital birth does not seem to be any safer than planned homebirth when assisted by an experienced midwife with collaborative medical backup, according to an updated Cochrane review.

Published this week, the review will be seen as a boost for homebirth campaigners.
