Hospital pays $250,000 to strangled victim’s family

The NSW Court of Appeal this week ruled that Taree’s Manning Base Hospital owed the man’s friend a duty of care and that a hospital psychiatrist was negligent for discharging the patient, leading to his friend’s death, in July 2004.
