Hot flushes can be a red flag for younger women
Women who experience early onset menopause accompanied by hot flushes may be at higher risk of cardiovascular disease than those who don’t have vasomotor symptoms, two new studies show.
And the greater the frequency of symptoms, the higher the risk.
The research adds to emerging evidence linking vasomotor symptoms with cardiovascular risk, and endothelial dysfunction in particular.
But It shows the risk is confined to women in their 40s at onset.
