How doctors protect themselves from stress-induced stroke

Stress at work may be linked to an increased risk of stroke, according to a meta-analysis involving more than 138,000 people over 17 years.

But doctors do not appear to be at risk, despite their heavy workload, long hours and significant mental pressure.

The researchers say this is because they are able to exert high control in their job which minimises unhealthy stress
