How rivalries between doctors and pharmacists turned into a 'turf war'

With the nature of the professions changing since medieval times, it's little wonder that drawing boundaries is easier said than done, writes Dr Philippa Martyr

Should patients be able to buy prescription medicines at their local pharmacy without seeing a doctor first? Or be able to collect their prescription medicines at the local supermarket?
