Hypertension treatment different for women

High blood pressure in women may have to be treated earlier and more aggressively than in men, a US study finds.

Looking at 100 men and women aged 53 and older with untreated hypertension, researchers found significant differences in the mechanisms that cause high blood pressure in women compared to men.
