Implant report identifies high-risk women

Women who received Poly Implant Prothèse (PIP) breast implants in 2005-2006 are the most likely to have had them rupture, according to newly released Government figures.

An update from the Therapeutic Goods Administration showed almost 6% of PIP breast implants sold in 2005 ultimately ruptured — the highest proportion of any year since 1999 when the implants were first used in Australia.
