Insulin pumps linked to lower death rate

Insulin pump therapy is associated with lower mortality rates compared with multiple daily injections in people with type 1 diabetes, according to a Swedish study.

Writing in the BMJ, the study authors said theirs was the first population-wide study to examine mortality rates among type 1 diabetes patients using different insulin treatments.
