Internet and friends preferred to pharmacy for advice
12th August 2014
A UK consumer survey has rated pharmacy well below the Internet, and just ahead of friends or relatives as a source of healthy living advice.

A market research survey of 1625 consumers found 57% would contact a GP or nurse if they wanted information on topics such as quitting smoking, drinking less alcohol, eating healthily or exercising more.
However, only six per cent said they would turn to a pharmacy for this advice.
This trailed well behind the 18% who would turn to the internet, and was only just ahead of the five per cent who would trust a friend
