Interval training a fat lot of good

It's touted as a fast way to lose weight, but bursts of high-intensity exercise fail to reduce fat among overweight adults, a new study shows.

In the study of 33 overweight, previously inactive adults, Australian researchers compared the effects of 12 weeks of high-intensity interval training with steady aerobic exercise.

High-intensity interval training involves short bursts of vigorous exercise interspersed with low-intensity recovery periods.
