IVF babies become healthy young adults

Adults conceived through IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are just as healthy as those conceived naturally, according to a large Melbourne study.

This is despite numerous studies that have found ART-conceived babies to be at increased risk of preterm birth, low birth weight, being small for gestational age, higher perinatal mortality, and a higher rate of hospitalisations in childhood.
