Kidney Australia reaches out to GPs
Thousands of GPs across Australia have been asked to participate in a study of clinical practice relating TO chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Most CKD is identified in general practice and it important to find any gaps in diagnosis, management and education, says project spokesperson Dr Tim Usherwood, professor of general practice at Sydney University.
“Over the past decade there has been earlier and more accurate identification, and the management has been moving out of renal clinics into general practice.”
He says 4,000 GPs have been randomly selected
