Lawyers urge ACCC to appeal against Nurofen penalty

Two Sydney lawyers have urged the ACCC to seriously consider appealing against the $1.7 million penalty for the Nurofen’s specific pain products.

Writing in legal overview Lexology, Christopher March and Shaun Temby from Maddocks law office say: “In our view, the penalty imposed by the court is very low, and, for a number of reasons, the ACCC will now need to give serious consideration to an appeal.”
