Low-intensity CBT helps two-thirds of patients

Beyondblue is calling for the national rollout of a mental health program it says resolves moderate anxiety and depression in two-thirds of people who use it.

The NewAccess program uses low-intensity CBT delivered by a coach either face-to-face or by phone over six free sessions.

Beyondblue said it had been trialled at three sites, where 67.5% of 3500 adults who took part ended up below the clinical threshold for anxiety and
