Mandatory reporting overhaul draws another step closer

Momentum to soften the much-maligned mandatory reporting laws has kicked up a notch, with Minister for Health Greg Hunt (pictured) reportedly voicing support for measures that would better protect doctors.

It follows months of scrutiny, sparked by a cluster of doctor suicides, and a concerted push from the medical profession to exempt clinicians from having to report impaired colleagues.
