Medical cannabis research attracts millions in funding

A $12 million centre to help develop cannabis-based treatments for conditions like epilepsy and chronic pain is being launched by the NSW state government.

Called the NSW Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research and Innovation, it aims to educate doctors and the public on the therapeutic potential of medicinal cannabis and analyse the latest research including three NSW government-funded clinical trials in the pipeline.
