Medical Observer readership on the up
MEDICAL Observer would like to say a big “thank you” to its readers for their continuing loyalty and enthusiasm, after a pleasing increase in readership in this year’s annual medical publishers survey, to 78.8%.
The result means that around 80% of those who received MO during the survey period, 13 May to 16 August 2011, read each issue published – an outstanding result for any publisher.
The Medical Publications Readership Survey is conducted each year for the Medical Publishers Association and includes five national medical publications – Medical Observer, Australian Family Physician, the Medical Journal of Australia, Medicine Today, and Australian Doctor.
In an increasingly competitive environment, where many publishers are grappling with the implications of the worldwide trend to online, it is an excellent result to achieve growth in readership.
