Medication continuance a priority for consumers

Customers want pharmacists to provide an expanded range of services, according to new Australian research which found widespread patient support for pharmacy medication continuance.

After conducting detailed interviews with 15 focus groups of consumers and carers, as well as with pharmacists, the authors were convinced that consumers wanted to be able to obtain a continual supply of their medication from their pharmacy, without having to go back to the doctor for a repeat prescription.
