AD drugs worsen hospitalisation risk

Exposure to high-risk drug classes is associated with higher rates of hospitalisation and mortality in older people with Alzheimer’s disease, research by the University of Sydney has found.

The researchers found there was a dose-response relationship between cumulative anticholinergic and sedative drug use and hospitalisation and mortality in people with and without AD.
