Mental health care shortfall to create more prisoners

Using the backdrop of World Mental Health Day last week, the Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) said it estimated more than 100,000 Australians with serious mental illness were missing out on essential support services.

These include clinical services such as counselling, prescription of medication and health checkups, as well as access to stable housing, employment and transport.
