Mindfulness therapy good for preventing depression relapse

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is as effective is a viable option for preventing relapse of depression, according to research published in The Lancet.

The two-year study of 424 adults on a therapeutic dose of maintenance antidepressants shows both treatments are comparatively good for preventing relapse or recurrence of depression, and for reducing residual depressive symptoms and improving quality of life.
