MJA defends publishing Webber paper

The Medical Journal of Australia has been panned for publishing controversial but unsubstantiated claims by Dr Tony Webber that billions of dollars are being wasted on Medicare rorts by doctors.

In a viewpoint article in the journal last month, the former PSR boss accused some practices of systemic rorting of team care arrangements and GP care plans. He also took a swipe at
