MLs go corporate with ribbon logo

THE official branding of the government’s Medicare Locals has been launched with a new logo featuring a ribbon helix motif designed to make each organisation easily identifiable as a member of a larger, cohesive network.

The new logo was unveiled at a forum held at Parliament House last week, and attended by prime minister Julia Gillard, health minister Nicola Roxon and leaders from 19 Medicare Locals.

AGPN chair, Dr Emil Djakic, welcomed the new corporate look for Medicare Locals, which he said would help bring Australian primary health care together.

“Having a dedicated local body to oversee the coordination of primary health care services will provide all communities with a system that makes sense and is easier to navigate,” Dr Djakic said.
