Men who hit the bottle on a regular basis can rest assured that their alcohol consumption is unlikely to cause memory loss, according to research which indicates alcohol may have a protective effect on cognition.

The evidence seems to suggest that regular moderate drinking may be a healthier option than spasmodic drinking or even no drinking when it comes to memory function later in life.
