More GP post-partum checks needed: Aussie survey

All new mothers should be offered extended post-partum checkups by their GPs at two and six weeks, Australian researchers suggest.

Clearer guidelines may be needed to ensure women are followed up at appropriate intervals post-partum, according to a study by Associate Professor Wendy Brodribb and colleagues at the University of Queensland’s discipline of general practice.
