More GPs needed on the hep C front line

The success of GPs at treating HIV patients shows they could take on a central role in managing hepatitis C, a government inquiry recommends.

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Health inquiry noted on Friday that GPs currently have only a limited role in managing and treating hepatitis C.
