More reasons not to skip breakfast

Children who eat breakfast are inadvertently reducing their risk of developing type 2 diabetes, say British researchers.

Their cross-sectional study of more than 4,000 primary school children shows an association between children who skip breakfast most days and higher levels of known diabetes risk factors.

Children who miss breakfast have higher fasting insulin, higher insulin resistance, slightly higher HbA1c and slightly higher glucose than those who always eat breakfast,
