Move to ban ads to CAM practitioners

The medicines watchdog is considering banning drug companies from advertising directly to complementary and alternative medicine practitioners for fear they cannot tell quality from quackery.

The proposal from the Therapeutics Goods Administration is part of a broad review of the restrictions on advertising medicines to the general public, and has been enthusiastically received by the RACGP.
