MPs oppose waiving dentists’ MBS debts

A Senate inquiry has said new draft laws to absolve 65 dentists from repaying $21.5 million in wrongly claimed Medicare rebates should be ditched.

Federal Parliament is still considering a push by the Opposition to wipe clean the dentists’ debts amid claims the Medicare breaches resulted from paperwork errors.
