My Christmas - Professor Claire Jackson

“We have much to celebrate but much also to defend and grow,” Professor Jackson told MO.

“2011 had its share of disappointments in cuts to patient GP support in a number of important spheres and uncertainty around primary healthcare reform – in an information vacuum for the profession as we transition from the known to the uncertain in 2012,” Professor Jackson said.

“Next year will demand the focus and strength that has characterised our sector this year.”

In wishing all GPs across the country a happy and healthy Christmas, Professor Jackson hopes that in 2012 many will seize the opportunity to refresh and spend precious time with friends and family, while continuing their national contribution to patient care.

As for herself?

“I intend to take my own advice this Christmas and chill out on a sunny Aussie beach recharging for two weeks with my nearest and dearest.”
