The Medical Journal of Australia has a new editor after Dr Annette Katelaris' departure last August

Professor Stephen Leeder (pictured) has been made editor-in-chief of the MJA.
The Australian Doctor columnist is professor of public health and community medicine at the University of Sydney.
In a statement the MJA board said: "Professor Leeder brings enormous experience and knowledge to the journal.
He is ideally suited to steer the MJA as it embraces new media and new strategies."
