The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) has released new trans-diagnostic eating order guidelines, which are designed to be aligned with DSM-5.

Previous Australian guidelines focused on anorexia nervosa only.
One of the new features is avoidant/restrictive food intake (ARFID), which broadly replaces phobic food disorder in young children. Patients present with physical complications similar to anorexia nervosa but without the characteristic “fear of weight gain”.
