New Pap project for sexual assault victims
Pap smears can be a harrowing experience for women who have been sexually assaulted, but a new project aims to overcome the barriers to screening.
PapScreen Victoria and the Victorian Centres Against Sexual Assault have joined forces in a bid to increase the low cervical cancer screening rates among women who have experienced sexual assault.
The project, launched late last year, will see the organisations teach Pap test providers how to better work with women who have experienced sexual assault.
