No exercise before full blood count

.GPs requesting FBCs should consider recommending their patients abstain from all forms of exercise in the hours before blood collection.

That’s because the latest evidence shows that both aerobic and resistance exercise stimulates the immune system.

While it’s long been known that aerobic activity has this effect, researchers have only now established a dose–response relationship between acute resistance exercise and the immune system.
