Nominations open for 2012 GPET Awards
Established in 2004, the awards aim to recognise excellence and innovation in general practice education and training, advances in education and training, significant professional achievement, and contributions made by regional training providers (RTPs), medical educators, supervisors and registrars in light of available funding and resources.
Nine years on, the MO- sponsored awards continue to honour contributions from individuals and organisations “where there is significant innovation and contribution to the development and delivery of Australian general practice vocational training”, a GPET spokesperson said.
Individuals eligible to be nominated include registrars, educators, supervisors, RTPs and others involved in the training program.
Categories include Registrar of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Medical Educator of the Year, RTP Innovation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Training, and Environmental Encouragement.
