NSAID–antidepressant combo increases bleed risk: study

Taking antidepressants and NSAIDs at the same time increases the risk of intracranial haemorrhage, a study suggests. 

Both classes of drugs are known to increase the risk of abnormal bleeding through effects on platelets, but now the risks of combined use have been shown to be especially high for men, say researchers from the Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management, Seoul.
