People at risk of cardiovascular disease should ignore recommendations to take omega-3 pills as a preventive measure, a large international study suggests.

Bringing together data from 10 trials with close to 78,000 participants, Oxford University researchers say they found no evidence that fish oil supplementation offers protection from a future heart attack or stroke.
