Surgeons enjoy a high level of respect from their hospital colleagues, but many fail at simple things like remembering people’s names, according to a small study.

A UK survey of 21 anaesthetists, 21 surgeons, 17 scrub nurses, 22 operating department practitioners, two midwives and three radiographers found surgeons and anaesthetists were particularly poor at remembering the names of those they work with.
